Meghan Krasnoff (she/her)
Licensed Clinical Social Worker
I've been told that I'm easy to connect with, often by folks who have had a hard time finding the right therapist for themselves.
My approach to therapy is eclectic. I use evidence-based practices (CBT, DBT, etc.), but at the end of the day it's really about a safe and nonjudgmental person and place with whom to talk to about what you're experiencing.
I bring creativity, humor, collaboration and sometimes outside-of-the-box ideas into therapy to tailor it to each person I work with. The space we create will honor your intersecting identities and the complexity of your experience, as well as examine the systems that impact your life.
I commit to always showing up as my authentic self in all my humanness to give you space to do the same.
I am LGBTQIA+ affirming, an advocate for social justice, and have a lifelong commitment to examining the systems that create and maintain inequity and oppression.
I hold a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from St. Edward's University here in Austin. I completed my Master of Social Work at California State University Northridge in Los Angeles and am now a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I am licensed in both Texas and California at this time.
I worked in community mental health in Hollywood, CA for the past few years before returning to Austin. I always say I've lived ten different lives, and that includes a whole lot of service industry positions, owning a bakery, training as a postpartum doula and now starting this practice I intend to expand into a co-operative type of therapy practice of sorts eventually. I look forward to connecting with you!
